Seasia Foods proudly carries forward the legacy of Dong Nam A, a family-owned Asian Australian grocery chain founded in 1979 by a Chinese Vietnamese immigrant and his first-generation immigrant children.  Chinatown’s oldest and longest running grocery business, Dong Nam A has been an integral part of Sydney’s community for more than four decades, offering authentic flavours and quality ingredients. 

The name Dong Nam A translates to South East Asia, reflecting the rich diversity of culinary traditions and cultural practices across the region. True to this heritage, we continue to offer a wide selection of products that celebrate the flavours of South East Asia.

In 2021, amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Seasia Foods was founded by Christopher Lam and Ben Tang, the third-generation operators of the family business. Our mission is to bring the beloved in-store experience online, providing the same trusted service and authentic products to your doorstep.

Our goal is simple: to remain part of our customers’ lives by offering nourishment, inspiration, and connection through food.
